Voting Information

Important Dates

Election Day: Tuesday, November 3rd, 2026

First Day of Early Voting: Friday, September 18

Voter Registration Deadline: Friday, October 23*

*Voters may register and vote using a provisional ballot In-Person after October 23, 2026, through Election Day.

Deadline to apply for a ballot to be mailed to you: Through 5:00 p.m., Friday, October 23

Your request must be received by your local registrar's office by 5:00 p.m.

Apply for an absentee ballot online using the Citizen Portal.

Last Day of In-Person Early Voting: Saturday, October 31

Alexandria

Voting during normal business hours: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Office of Voter Registration and Elections (132 N Royal Street, Suite 100.) The office will be closed October 12.

Beatley Central Library (5005 Duke Street) will open for early voting for weekend hours starting Sunday, October 18, 2026. See schedule below for a full list of voting hours at Beatley.

The last day for in-person early voting at both our Royal Street and Beatley Library locations is Saturday, October 31, 2026.

 

In-person early voting begins 45 days prior to each primary and general election. No appointment is needed.
